On June 18, 2024, the third consecutive information meeting on the INSPIRE Fund was held in Stara Zagora. The event brought together over 20 representatives of civil society organizations working in the field of child and youth development and the prevention of violence against children.
The meeting presented the opportunities for applying for the INSPIRE Fund, including the dates of the call for proposals, the deadlines for applications, and the methods for submitting documents. Attendees learned details about the competition procedure and eligible activities and received guidance on preparing project proposals.
The INSPIRE Fund is part of the INSPIRE project: Improving national support for the prevention, intervention, and response to violence against children and empowering victims. The project also includes a training program to increase the capacity of the supported organizations. The project is implemented by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) and the National Network for Children (NNC) and is co-financed by the European Union. The project will run for three years, during which CIF will be solely responsible for providing project funding, while NCC will be responsible for building the capacity of the organizations.
Information meetings will be held in six Bulgarian cities: Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, and Ruse. The schedule of meetings can be found here. After the announcement of the competition, four online training sessions will be held on the application process, including form submission and explanation of the methodology used to develop the form.
