Over 20 representatives of civil society organizations—foundations, associations, school boards, and community centers from Burgas and the surrounding region—participated in an informational meeting to present the INSPIRE Fund. The meeting was held on June 19 in the coastal city.
During the meeting, participants received detailed explanations about the deadlines and methods for applying to the Fund, the types of projects and eligible activities, as well as the necessary application documents.
The INSPIRE Fund will provide €1,620,000 in grant funding for local and national projects by civil society organizations working to reduce violence against children and empower victims of violence.
The INSPIRE Fund is part of the INSPIRE project: Improving national support for the prevention, intervention, and response to violence against children and the empowerment of victims. The project also includes a training program to increase the capacity of the supported organizations.
The project is implemented by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) and the National Network for Children (NNC) and is co-financed by the European Union. The project will run for three years, during which CIF will be solely responsible for providing funding for the projects, while NCC will be responsible for building the capacity of the organizations.
Information meetings are being held in six Bulgarian cities: Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, and Ruse. The schedule of meetings can be found here. After the announcement of the competition, four online training sessions will be held on the application process, including form submission and explanation of the methodology used to develop the form.
