About - Project INSPIRE

The INSPIRE project is based on three pillars:

INSPIRE Fund

The INSPIRE Fund will support, through targeted grant funding, projects of civil society organisations working in the field of prevention of violence against children and empowerment of victims of violence.

INSPIRE Training Programme

The INSPIRE training programme is aimed at enhancing the capacity of the supported organisations and includes a series of trainings.

Communication Campaign

Raising awareness of the problem of violence against children by organizing a national traveling exhibition and a final conference.

Objectives

The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity to strengthen the integrated system for child protection, prevention and intervention of violence against children and provision of support to victims.

Mission

The mission of the project is to contribute to the creation of a society in which violence against children is unacceptable and victims receive the necessary support and protection.

Types of projects and activities

National Projects

The INSPIRE Fund will support civil society organisations (CSOs) working at national level to build zero tolerance to violence against children, to advocate for policy reform and to develop a strategic communication focused on disseminating good practices on preventing and addressing violence against children.

Local Projects

The INSPIRE Fund will support civil society organisations working on violence against children at the local level, including those in geographically remote communities and often far from the main cities. Organisations will receive targeted grant funding for projects aimed at improving a range of services, implementing innovative approaches to preventing and responding to violence against children, improving cooperation with different public authorities to prevent and respond to crises, and better communication with the general public on issues related to violence.

Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF)

WCIF is a national foundation that provides grants to support civil society organizations in Bulgaria. The foundation has many years of experience in supporting projects aimed at various social causes, including child protection.

National Network for Children (NNC)

The NNC is a network of over 120 civil society organisations working with children. It is committed to improving child protection policies and practices and is a leading force in advocacy for children's rights in Bulgaria.
