Over 120 participants took part in the online meetings on the INSPIRE fund

Exactly 20 days before the deadline for the INSPIRE fund competition, the online meetings explaining the competition procedure were completed. There were four meetings in total, attended by more than 120 civic activists.

During the online meetings, participants learned details about the deadlines and eligible activities and familiarized themselves with the application form for grant funding based on the Outcome Mapping methodology. At the end of the meetings, all attendees had the opportunity to have their questions answered personally by the project team.

The INSPIRE fund competition is open until October 1, 2024, and applications are submitted entirely electronically through the FRGI Application Platform here.

In addition to explaining the main aspects of the competition, the discussions also familiarized participants with the opportunities offered by the European Citizens’ Initiative. The project team explained how this mechanism for participation in the EU democratic process can be used to support causes at local, national, and European level. Participants learned about the procedures, requirements, and how initiatives can lead to real changes in European policies.

Thus, the meetings not only provided valuable information about the INSPIRE Fund competition, but also expanded the knowledge of civic activists about other instruments for active participation and influence on public processes.
